SHOW PREVIEW: Operation Homefront - Rock for the Troops
Whether you are for the Iraq War or believe it was a mistake, one thing everyone can agree on is that the troops should have our support. Christine Martucci, a former member of the military herself, understands that as well as anyone. The Flemington-based musician has organized a special benefit show called "Rock for the Troops" for Saturday, September 20th at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville to raise funds for Operation Homefront, an organization that provides aid to families struggling not only with emergencies, but also with the problems of everyday life.

CD REVIEW: Straight to Red by Maybe Pete
"Straight to Red" is the second full-length disc by the North Jersey / Jersey Shore rock and roll band. Their first disc took several years and the songs were basically greatest hits for their fans by the time it was released, thankfully this one came out much sooner and fans will even find a few surprises in store for them.

SOAP SHOW RETURNS IN AUGUST!
Two years ago, I was fortunate enough to attend one of the most interesting shows I've ever seen at the Stone Pony. It was billed as a once in a lifetime show - the Creators of the Sound of Asbury Park returning home. Thankfully, they're coming back for one final go around.
In 2006, many of the founders of the Jersey Shore music scene returned to the Stone Pony for a benefit concert. The show was one of the hottest tickets in years with scalped tickets going for $1,000 or more on online websites. This year's return should be a hot ticket as well, so if you're interested in the history of Jersey Shore music go get your tickets now. I got my pair weeks ago just to be sure...
