(Lakewood, NJ) -– The historic STRAND Center for the Arts presents “A Tribute to Country Legends: Hank Williams and Johnny Cash on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 8:00pm. Country legends Hank Williams and Johnny Cash come to life on The Strand Theater stage with a performance from tribute bands Hankerin 4 Hank and Michael Patrick’s Ring of Fire. Admission is $17.

The Ring of Fire band is an offspring of successful country-rock group “The Suburban Hillbillies,” and is a tribute show to honor and pay homage to the late, great JOHNNY CASH. With a voice that has been described by some as a unique cross-breed of Johnny Cash, John Prine, Jimmy Buffett, Arlo Guthrie, & Garth Brooks. A "Michael Patrick tune" is certainly distinguishable, because it carries his signature "twang" yet maintains its own unique identity.

Tribute band Hankerin 4 Hank gives the audience the ability to experience the look and the sound of Hank Williams as he performed in 1951. This band provides the "Drifting Cowboy" sound that backed Hank, complete with the doghouse bass, honky-tonk guitar and steel that so much defined the music of that era. Make your ticket reservations online at www.strand.org or call 877-772-5425.The STRAND box office, 732 367 7789, is open on Thursday and Friday, between 12 pm and 5 pm and 3 hours before showtime. * Plus Service Charge.
